Story
Behind the Ranch
Your Healing Place Ranch was founded by Jenna Schallert, in loving memory of her mother, Peg Schallert, who bravely battled ovarian cancer. During her treatments, Peg would stay at Jenna’s ranch in Kansas – a quiet place that gave her something medicine couldn’t: peace.
Peg would feed the cattle, gather eggs, and sit outside until the sun disappeared behind the pastures. With each visit, her color returned, her breathing eased, and her spirit lifted just a little more.
When Jenna witnessed how deeply Peg was changed by nature and being active on the ranch, Jenna started working to create Your Healing Place Ranch in Lodgepole – a place where anyone touched by cancer can experience that same sense of calm, hope, and connection.

What We’re
Building
Located on 641 acres of open rolling Nebraska prairie, the ranch is actively growing to become a one-of-a-kind retreat.
With the help of donors and volunteers, we’ll:
• Build guest cabins for rest and reconnection.
• Create a main gathering lodge for meals, art, and conversation.
• Design healing spaces for yoga, reflection, and stillness.
• Develop animal and equine areas for safe, meaningful interaction.
• Establish walking trails and quiet corners for peace and reflection.
Every donation helps bring this vision to life and keeps the retreat completely free for every guest and their families.
Together, we’ll turn open land and a handful of cattle into a sanctuary of peace, hope, and healing — one that will serve generations to come.

This is also a space for caregivers, spouses, and families, anyone walking beside a loved one.
